At Spectrum Dental Science, we create high quality all-on-X hybrids with precision and efficiency utilizing a full digital workflow developed in-house. We verify every case using precision milling machines and highly accurate photogrammetry. This ensures a passive fit every time.
Our in-house workflow uses AI tools within Exocad and highly experienced designers to create a custom hybrid that will feel natural and comfortable in the patient’s mouth. We can roughly match a library to the patient’s tooth shape, then bring that library into our design software in perfect occlusion. We then alter the arch and tooth shape to fit the patient’s jaw perfectly. All predesigns start as a denture and are then converted to hybrids once we take the photogrammetry scan for possible next-day delivery.
Our digital workflow has proven to be more accurate than any analog workflow. We utilize photogrammetry to give us the implant positions and angulation. This is currently the best method for acquiring that information and is proven to be more accurate than any analog method. Our workflow is designed to prevent any discrepancy or inaccuracy, allowing for total discrepancy under 30 micron, ensuring a passive fit. All-on-X is a full arch replacement process where either one or both arches are replaced with a fixed prosthetic on dental implants. These can be placed on as few as 4 implants, but often more are used. After implant placement, there’s a healing period during which the implants fuse with the bone (osseointegration). This can take several months.
A full arch hybrid, also known as a hybrid denture or hybrid prosthesis, is a comprehensive dental solution designed to replace all the teeth in either the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both using dental implants for support. This type of prosthesis offers a fixed, non-removable option that combines elements of traditional dentures with the stability provided by dental implants.. A good hybrid will fit the implants passively, be easy to clean with a convex intaglio, and have balanced, proper occlusion. A passive fit to the abutments is crucial to the health of the implants and helps prevent breakage of the hybrid. This is easily achieved using photogrammetry, which we offer to offices.
Photogrammetry is the most precise and accurate digital method of recording the intraoral position of multiple implants. We use an iCAM4D by iMetric to capture this information. The iCAM analyzes the iCAM bodies with its four cameras. The software then triangulates the captured images to give the exact coordinates, distance, and angulation of the implants. The iCAM4D employs advanced algorithms and high-resolution imaging to achieve unparalleled levels of precision and accuracy in 3D reconstructions. Full arch implants offer greater stability, a more natural appearance, and improved functionality compared to traditional removable dentures. They eliminate issues such as slipping, discomfort, and the need for adhesives.
